The Importance of Staying Humble
“It’s never too late, or in my case, too early to be whoever you want to be.” —F. Scott Fitzergerald
In your lifetime, you’ll climb mountains. You’ll write novels. You’ll build skyscrapers and make a killer apple pie. But whatever you do, whoever you become, remember to stay humble. Staying humble means that you’ll continue to strive for greatness while remembering your roots. You’ll pull others up without talking down to them. You’ll be able to conquer whatever mountain stands in your way and still be satisfied with the most boring of peanut butter sandwiches at the summit. Do more with less, be grateful for what you already have, and remember, there’s always another climb that can kick your butt. So be great, but stay humble. You’ll be a happier person for it.
